I am in a writing mood, but have no idea what to write about. I thought, since some of my best writing was done by assignment and under pressure, that I'd ask around to see if anything caught my interest. Do you guys have any ideas?
I'm really weird, I know. I need to get back to school, because I actually want to write a research paper! LOL.

You should write about... an experience that seemed bad at the time, but that has helped you become who you are today... hmm. Either that, or, how people react to being stuck in traffic in hot weather, versus, a normal day? lol, I don't know homes.
Hey, Daniel. Those are some good ideas. I will write them down. Anyone else have anything to add? I'm keeping track!

How about just letting your mind wander for an hour of constant writing. It doesn't have to be complete sentences, or anything in particular. Let your imagination take you to interesting places.
What about what it's like to being married to such a weird and unusual character as Mark. grins.
Say hi to him for me.
Hugs
LOL Tom. Thanks. That is something to write about. LOL.

I just got this list from a web site. I hope you find some thing you want from this list.
Here's my question. Why limit your writing to anything autobiographical. I don't have specific topics to suggest, mind you, but you could perhaps write something fictional and perhaps humorous. Be silly, be random, be surrealistic or just plain nonsensical. The last thing the world needs is more sad poetry in my opinion.
My Ideas Especially For You
Write letters to your daughter. What does she mean to you? What are your favorite memories of her? What do you love most about her? What was the hardest day/night you've had with her so far? What things do you hope to see her do? Describe her beauty as You see it. Write a letter for each important event to give to her as she approaches them. Some examples: Her thirteenth birthday, the day she starts high school, the day she starts her period, her graduation from high school and college, her wedding day, her baby's birth, her first day of school...
Write letters/lists/love notes to your husband. 50 reasons you're glad you're married to him. 25 things you want to do with him before you die. 20 of your favorite memories together. What would you do if you had a week for just the two of you to spend together.
Write something really off-the-wall. God, I don't know. How about: if I were a sattellite, what would I see? What scene would I be hovering over? If I were a meatball, where would I go?
Here's an assignment I had to do in Psychology:
Describe your first childhood memory in as much detail as possible. What affect, if any, does it have on the person you are today.
Have fun!
I just got the list from a website, but if you were to ask me. The best time to write is when your in the mood to write. By that time, you can about anything interesting. It does not have to be anything specific just write what you feel like writing about. There's lots of things to write about other than autobiographical or academic stuff. You can write about nature, give your opinion on current issues, write about advocating for something, write about a new invention that you may do if you were given a chance to, write about anything you think of as important to you (People, places, things, events). If you want more ideas for writing i suggest you read more because when you read more, you know more. You can even write a book if your into fiction. Its up to you.
I hope this one was more helpful than my last post. if i think of some more ideas i will write it here.
It really depends what your intrests are, What is it you like to write? Like the others said before me, Sit and think about what intrests you, hold that thought, write any ideas that come to mind, select the best ones, and the best from those. Once you find a topic or cadigory, or, perhaps a fanticy, write it out. My highschool english teacher once told me, "Writing is a reflection of who you are, so reflect yourself Your ammagenation needs to flerish and expand. What better way is there to expand than expressing and reflecting it. Now get your homework in by tomorrow."
And, if I may, I write fan fiction as a hobby. Nothing's been published as of yet, but maybe that's what you need to do. Give in to your inner ammagenation. It's a wunderfull thing.
Ooooh, I got some more good ideas here.
To post 11, I'm not in school yet. LOL. I wish! I did some of my best writing when I was in college.
Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. Brandy, I like the idea about writing letters. *SMILE* I wanna do something like that for my little girl in addition to keeping a journal I can let her read when she's old enough to be interested.

Yeah, I've got letters I wrote to my son before he was even born. There's this one in particular that's my favorite. I wrote it right after I found out he was a boy, and I wrote about how special having a son to grow in to a man meant to me. That I wanted him to be a good daddy when he has kids aof his own, and all the things I'd teach him as he grew. I love writeing letters to him, because when he's old enough to appreciate it, I know he will thank me for it. Good luck.
we did this in my poetry class... and it was actually really fun, we chose random words or phrases from random books, and then put them in to our poem, it was different.
